Dressed Up for the United Nations Day

November1
UN-day-smiles

Since my kid is studying in a Catholic school, Halloween parties are not celebrated. Instead, they get to enjoy this United Nations day where they get to enjoy dressing up in their favorite country of their choice.

My mother, who was able to put me to school from Kinder to College by earning as a dressmaker, lovingly made a simple Chinese outfit for my little kid. The finished outfit was not as detailed as the ones sold in our local mall but my kid was very very happy that of the new outfit. My mother had already “retired” as a dressmaker due to her age, but she just wanted to show her love to my kid by making this nice costume for her.

Well of course, I got some pictures of her wearing the outfit before she’s off to school.
Last year, she wore an Egyptian costume, which was also made by my mother.

She's not a future heart breaker anymore. She broke the heart of another kid who likes to play with her.

I remember that United Nations Day is celebrated during the last week of November when I was still a teacher. I used to organize the activities because I handle social studies. I so loved it. I love to see kids wearing different costumes. Now I miss it.

Your girl grows so fast. I bet she is already interested in grown up stuff. And oh… she is so pretty too like mom.
