Awesome Places in the Philippines to View the Sunset

One of the natural wonders I’ve always appreciated are sunsets especially that I don’t get much opportunities viewing these since I live on the mountains. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t appreciate sunsets, but I guess everybody loves to watch the sun turn red and then go down from the sky and down into the deep sea.

These two places are my most memorable sunsets I’ve witnessed.

  • Baguio City: I distinctly remember my early childhood days where the South China Sea can be easily seen on the balcony of my family’s old simple home. I learned later on that not all places in Baguio are able see that awesome sunset from the mountains: only those who live along Naguilian Road that overlooks La Union beaches are able to witness that.
  • Nasugbu, Batangas: This is another most memorable sunset I’ve witnessed with a group of friends after enjoying the white beaches. The sunset was breathtaking. I could not remember the exact name of the resort – this all happened more than ten years ago.

These two places make it to my wishlist.

  • Boracay: Most of my friends have been there. I haven’t – almost got into one last year but the plan didn’t push through. I’d still love to be able to witness that sunset. I hope I get to get a glimpse of that place this year – I’d probably take my kid along (she loves travelling too).
  • Manila Bay: Although I got to live in Manila several times I did not have get any opportunity to stop at near the bay and view the sunset. More often, I am just able to get a glimpse whenever I get to ride a bus along that area. Now that the Manila Baywalk is up, I guess I would like to stop by, watch and even take a picture of that much-talked about sunset.

I wonder where I will get the opportunity to view sunsets again: my imagination takes me further aboard on at least one of those cheap cruises around the metropolis.

In my own honest opinion… there is nothing I can compare with Philippine sunset. It is only in the Philippines where you can find breathtaking sunset and I miss it so much. My Hubby and another American friend agree with me. Nice post… I miss home.
